Corrections & Update Log

Numbers on a money site have consequences, so our corrections are public. This page explains how an error gets fixed on CrossRupee, and keeps the running log of every material correction we make.

How to report an error

Email us via the Contact page with three things: the page and figure you believe is wrong, the figure you believe is right, and a published source for it. Reports with a source are checked first, and every source-backed report is reviewed.

What happens next

  • We check the claim against published sources — the same kind of sources described on our Methodology & Data Sources page.
  • If the evidence supports the correction, we fix the page and record the change in the log below: the date, the page, and what changed.
  • If the evidence does not support it, we leave the figure as it is and reply to the reader who reported it, explaining what our source says.

Corrections vs. routine updates

Not every change is a correction. Exchange reference rates refresh daily, gold rates are re-checked twice a day, and comparison tables are re-checked on their stated cycle — those are routine updates, and they are not logged here. This log is for errors: a figure that was wrong when published, a rule we misstated, or a method we described inaccurately.
