Information only, not advice
CrossRupee publishes data, costs, comparisons and factual explainers: exchange and gold reference rates, salary and cost figures, and plain-language summaries of published rules such as how gratuity is calculated or how NRE and NRO accounts are defined. Reading a page here does not create an adviser–client relationship of any kind, and no page on this site recommends a course of action for you personally.
Decisions about your money, your tax position, your visa status or your home purchase depend on facts we do not know about you. For those decisions, consult a licensed financial adviser, tax professional, lawyer or immigration consultant in your country of residence.
Rates and prices change
Exchange rates move every day, gold rates move twice a day or faster, and providers change fees and offers without notice. The figures on this site are the figures we checked, on the date shown on the page:
- Our exchange figures are a reference rate for orientation. They are not a quote, and no provider is obliged to offer them.
- Our gold figures are the Dubai Jewellery Group suggested retail rates at the time they were checked, plus a separately labelled indicative figure. The price on a jeweller’s bill can differ.
- Remittance comparisons show each provider’s own quote at the time of checking, ranked by rupees received on that date. The same provider may offer a different amount today.
Before you send money, buy gold, sign a lease or accept a job, confirm the current figure directly with the provider. The number that binds you is the one in your transaction or contract, not the one on this site.
Accuracy and liability
We check our figures against published sources and correct errors publicly (see our Corrections & Update Log), but we cannot guarantee that every figure is complete, current or free of error at the moment you read it. To the extent permitted by law, CrossRupee accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on information published here. That is not a way of avoiding care — our Methodology & Data Sources page shows the care we take — it is a plain statement that a free information site cannot underwrite your financial decisions.

We link to providers, regulators and other third-party websites for reference. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, prices or conduct, and a link is not an endorsement. Some links are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you; such links are disclosed, and our rankings are based on the published numbers, not on commissions.
